This sword is made with 1055 carbon steel and constructed in a real deal live edge sword construction. You can see the sword is build simple, but strong and tough. The Cold Steel GIM Sword is one of the cheapest live edge sword on the market today that is build for use and not for look. You might find a lot of videos online with people cutting paper, bottles and so on with this sword because it is a live edge sword, and so people are all into cutting and slashing with this in hand.  What about doing a form?

The Cold Steel GIM Sword have a lot of philosophy behind the design too, you might not know it, but it's closely related to the philosophy of how Chinese see "Virtues" of a martial artist or a person with a sharp weapon in hand!

Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase of the Cold Steel GIM sword!  It's a very practical and very affordable live edge sword that I want to keep for sure. I won't mind a few scratches when cutting things because it is at least not a fancy Damascus blade.  The only problem is that I feel the sword is too light to be my beloved sword.
